Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification

  • 10th Pass: Must have passed Secondary School Examination (Class 10) with passing marks in Mathematics and English.

  • Local Language: The candidate must have studied the local language of the applied circle at least up to 10th standard.

  • Compulsory Skills: Basic computer knowledge and Cycling skills are mandatory.

2. Age Limit (As of 01.01.2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • Maximum Age: 40 Years

  • Age relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years).


Salary Structure (TRCA)

The GDS employees are paid "Time Related Continuity Allowance" (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance:

  • Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000 – ₹29,380

  • ABPM / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470


Selection Process (No Written Test)

The selection is 100% merit-based.

  1. System-Generated Merit List: Based on marks obtained in the 10th standard (calculated to 4 decimal places).

  2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical verification of original documents.

  3. Final Engagement: Based on successful DV and medical fitness.
